Kelly Ingersoll, Owner

Kelly started dancing at Susan Woods’ Dancenter when she was 2, and she began teaching there when she was 15 (“Thanks, Mom!”). She furthered her dance education at Steps on Broadway in New York City, studying under Richard Pierlon, Pamela Pribisco, Mindy Upin Jackson, Matt Lopez, Debbie Roshe, Lisa Harvie, and Lonne Morretton. In 2017, she began teaching 305 Fitness (founded by Sadie Kurzban), and in 2020 received a grant for a creative project, which fostered the building blocks to become an entrepreneur in the most uncertain time. Kelly loves teaching students of all ages and encourages them to do their best and honor the place where they are at on any given day. Kelly appreciates the teaching opportunities presented to her by Lindsay Fresco, former owner of the Dance Academy of Stoneham, Cindi Worthley, Denise Cecere, and Christine Proia throughout the last several years. Kelly is thrilled to be starting a new endeavor at MHDC.

Julianne DeRouin

A Massachusetts native, Julianne received her early dance training from Nashoba Valley Dance Academy in Pepperell, MA. She continued on to study at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and gained a BFA in Dance, cum laude. While studying at UMass and the Five College Dance Department, she had the pleasure of performing in many faculty and student concerts. Notable works include those by Thomas Vacanti, Paul Dennis, Leslie Frye-Mayetta, Margaret Wiss, Nicole Dagesse, and Rebecca Steinberg. With the mindset that one’s education is never complete, Julianne enjoys continuing her dance and fitness training through both local and international workshops. Most recently, she studied with Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company in Ga’Aton Israel, Eyas Dance Project in Berlin, Germany, and with Ohad Naharin’s Gaga/Dancers Online. She is currently in training to become a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher. As a professional freelance dance artist, Julianne has worked with organizations across Boston, New Hampshire, and New York such as Saving Grace Dance Ensemble, Odyssey Opera, and Tony Williams Urban Nutcracker. She has performed in prominent venues including the Shubert Theater and the Huntington Avenue Theater. Julianne enjoys teaching and sharing her knowledge with dancers throughout New England; her ultimate goal is to foster a supportive environment emphasizing critical thinking and creativity within her students while encouraging them to dance from the heart. 

Rowan Anderson

Rowan Anderson, based out of central New Hampshire is a freestyle dancer and hiphop teacher and choreographer. She graduated with the Senior Dance Award after studying the art of dance at Granite State Arts Academy in Salem NH. Rowan has recently taken off with her teaching career at Broadway Bound PAC and Movement House Dance Collaborative. Her love for art has also lead her to backstage positions, becoming a Backstage Coordinator for Elite Dance Challenge and Backstage Manager for The Boston She Party. She is enthusiastic about educating students on the culture and history of hip hop and foundational movement, and is passionate about sharing art and love within the community.

Janelle Boutin

Janelle’s dance training began at age 4, at Lapierre school of dance. She further gained training at Ballet Theater of Boston and Jeanette Neil’s Dance studio in Boston. In 1995, Janelle was cast as a dancer and lead character solo dancer for Walt Disney’s summer spectacular at the Boston Wang Theater. In college, she performed with the UMass Amherst dance company and the American spirit dance company at Oklahoma City University.  Janelle has coordinated dance camps and programs, choreographed and taught dance at studio’s in Andover, Beverly, Reading and Stoneham over the last 20 years. She has BFA in Communications with a Minor in Art from Northeastern University and Masters in Special Education. Janelle’s passion for working with children and dance remain evident through her continued work as a dedicated Special Educator (Reading Public Schools) and Dance Teacher.

Linda Tracy

Linda Tracy was the owner/director of her own dance school in Massachusetts for thirty-four years. As a seasoned dance educator, she brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and fun to her dance classes, and especially enjoys teaching young students. Linda is certified by Dance Masters of America, the Dance Teachers’ Club of Boston, and was a Registered Adjudicator with the National Dance Council of America. She continues her own dance training at Boston Ballet School and in New York, in order to keep up with the latest teaching trends. She is currently on faculty at several dance studios in New England, and is very excited to join the teaching team at MHDC. Linda holds a B.A. in Human Development from Lesley University. When not in the studio, Linda enjoys Broadway shows, creative writing, history, and spending time with her Maltese puppies, Thunder and Athina.

Liz McElligot

Liz grew up dancing and competing at the Academy of Performing Arts in Chelmsford, MA under the direction of Bryan Steele and Katie Correia. She carried her love for dance to NYC where she received her B.A. in Teaching Dance Arts and her B.S. in Business from Marymount Manhattan College. Upon moving back to Boston, she had to find a way to stay connected to the dance community, while working for a wealth management firm downtown. She found her happiness teaching at various studios for the past year and it has ignited her true passion. She encourages questions and an open dialogue in her classes and promises you will leave feeling you worked your body and your brain.

Mykael Justin

Mykael Justin started dancing when he was 8 in Brazil. Immediately, he fell in love with making music with his feet, as well as making friends in class. Mykael is a model student in class, always striving to better himself and learn as much as possible from every teacher. He’s attended several dance festivals and taken classes with a variety of professors in Brazil and here in America. He has a lot of energy, a passion for musicals (especially the ones that have tap in it) and loves to dance in every single corner! Mykael’s zest for life is obvious as soon as you meet him. He’s so excited and grateful to be part of Movement House and can’t wait to have lots of fun with everyone!

Kayla Rosa

Kayla Rosa, born and raised in Peabody, Massachusetts, is a Boston based dancer and choreographer. She received her early dance education at North Shore Dance Academy where she trained competitively in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary and specialty styles. Kayla performed with the Melrose Youth Ballet from 2003 to 2013 in various productions including The Nutcracker, The Four Seasons, Cinderella, and Coppelia. In 2019, Kayla graduated from the University of New Hampshire where she studied Business Administration and Dance. Currently, she is an Adult Company Member with Boston Community Dance Project, a contemporary fusion based dance company directed by Sarah-Kay “SKooJ CorE-O”.
